Programs based on Job Offer:

Atlantic Immigration Program

The Atlantic Immigration Program is a federal immigration program that helps employers recruit skilled foreign workers and international graduates to meet labour needs. This new employer-driven program builds on the success of the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program, which closed in 2021. Participants in the pilot program must reapply to use the permanent program.

To apply for permanent residency foreign workers must:

  • Have a valid endorsement certificate issued by the province
  • Foreign workers who require a work permit must have a work permit referral letter issued by the Province

British Columbia

To qualify, or British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program you must first accept a valid job offer from a B.C. employer. You also need relevant training and experience.

Alberta Accelerated Tech Pathway

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) Accelerated Tech Pathway provides expedited processing to foreign workers who are currently working for, or have a job offer with, an Alberta-based tech industry employer in an eligible tech occupation. 

Inorder to apply for this program you need to Qualify the 67 points on the Express Entry and gain minimum 300 points in the CRS Score.

Express Entry Program:

The Express Entry system will create a pool of candidates for immigration to Canada. Candidates will be assessed based on a number of criteria, and the highest ranking candidates will be invited to apply to immigrate to Canada. There are requirements not only to get into the pool, but also to be chosen from it.

Pool Entry Criteria:

To get into the Express Entry pool, skilled foreign nationals will need to meet the criteria of one of the federal immigration programs subject to Express Entry:

• The Federal skill Worker Program (FSWP)

• The Federal Skill Trades Program (FSTP)

• The Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

**Note: Entry into the Express Entry pool does not guarantee a candidate will be issued an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence. Invited candidates still have to meet eligibility and admissibility requirements

Comprehensive Ranking System:

The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) is a points-based system that will be used to assess and score a candidate’s profile to rank them in the Express Entry pool.

The CRS consist of the following components:

• Core Human Capital Factors

• Skills Transferability Factors

• Factors relating to a provincial nomination or a qualifying offer of arranged employment

CIC will choose candidates from the pool through regular “draws”, choosing a pre-determined number of candidates with the highest scores from the pool and inviting them to apply to immigrate as a permanent resident.
